I am a busy mom to 3 kids and 2 dogs in Kalamazoo, MI.
Our life definitely has a heavy dose of crazy. My husband works full time while going to law school 3-4 nights/ week, and I run my own business. Our kids (and dogs) are extremely high energy, and keep us on our toes.
I understand the desire to teach healthy eating habits, without sacrificing sanity. Some days that doesn’t happen, but I do my best.
My husband and I met running cross country in college, and we have passed that love of running on to our children. For us, the crazier the race, the better. Our current favorite is a 200 mile relay race in northern MI every fall.😜
We are also avid gardeners and love trying new recipes with the fruits, veggies, and herbs we grow in our backyard.
Our ultimate goal goal is to teach our children to prioritize their health through exercise and healthy eating. We are by no means perfect, but hope that some of it will stick in their minds for life.
My passion for fitness began over 13 years ago while I was I studying biology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. During that time I became a personal trainer and fell in love with my job.
I have continued working as a trainer for the last 13 years. I am certified through ISSA as a Fitness Trainer and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition.
More recently, I became a certified holistic health coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. This has allowed me to study nutrition in much more detail than ever before.
